William H. Haley was a son of William Haley and Mary Ann Rhoads Haley. He married Mary I. "Isabel" McKinney September 5, 1878 in Chester, Pennsylvania. They had three children: Willabelle Haley who married Harrison H. Barnes, Mary Bertha who married J.W. Jester, and John McKinney Haley who married his second wife Mary Elizabeth Wheatley in 1922 (he was divorced from his first wife). William H. Haley worked for Prudential Life Insurance Company for 25 years and died shortly afterwards. He was very involved in the welfare of young boys and was a founder of the Boys Brigade. He had charge of the West End Reading Room for many years. He was an avid fisherman.
