Services for Anna "Ann" Youtsey Olson, 93, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Grand Island, Neb. Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery.

Mrs. Olson died Sunday, July 4, 1993, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community.

She was a former resident of Grand Island.

She was born Dec. 11, 1899, in Pattonsburg, Mo., the daughter of John and Della Rhoades Youtsey. She grew up and attended schools in Pattonsburg. She moved to Grand Island in 1917.

Mrs. Olson was employed by Union Pacific Railroad and was the first woman cashier in the eastern division of the railroad.

She married Myron "Mike" E. Olson on Dec. 25, 1924, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was an engineer for the railroad. He died on April 11, 1983.

In 1927, they opened the first of several "Mrs. Olson's Drive Inn" root beer stands which they operated for 27 years.

Mrs. Olson was a member of the First Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the Nile, all in Grand Island.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Laird, Lawrence, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Three sisters and two brothers died earlier.
