Funeral services for Nathan Allison, 89 years of age, were held Monday afternoon at Mt. Carmel church with the Rev. J. L. Bradshaw in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Allison was widely known in this county and his home county, Adair. He remained active until about a year ago and was long active in church and Sunday School work. Surviving are his wife, Lucy Jane Pike Allison, and daughters, Mrs. Maudie Bault, Mrs. Della Smith, Mrs. Cordie Beard, sons, Johnnie, Omer, Willie, Ernest, and Guy Allison. He also leaves 23 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. ~The News-Journal, Thursday, December 16, 1943
