Services for Mr. Leslie Brown Brewer, 90, of Winnsboro were held at 2 pm Sunday in Beaty Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Fred Morrow and Louis Strechlow officiating. Burial was at Lee Cemetery in Wood County. Mr. Brewer died Friday August 17, 2001 in the Quitman Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mozell Brewer; 2 daughters, Diane Pinnel and Sandra Gilbreath, Irving, 5 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Mr. Brewer was born in Delta County, on March 8, 1911 to Jim and Alta Chambers Brewer. On Feb 4, 1938 he married the former Mozell Harris. He held many jobs during his life. For many years he was a farmer and had one of the 1st poultry farms in the area. He was the manager of the Wood County Coop Gin and worked for Wood County Precinct 4. A Mason, he was a member of Sharon Baptist Church where he was a deacon and song leader for many years. Pall Bearers were David Pinnell, Steve Pinnell, Jerry Pinnell, Larry Yarbrough, Shawn Maples and Tim Harris.
