My Baby Uncle

Son of John Koper & Katherine Dolecki Koper. I'm not sure if he was stillborn or died at or just after birth.
He was the 13th child of 14 children. I have heard stories that Grandma was pregnant 18 times.

Antoni was actually born in Huron Township.
He was also delivered by his own father, John.

All of the children that were old enough to remember exact details about Antoni are now gone. My Uncle Ray told me that one of the older children held Antoni's lifeless body in their lap during the ride from their farm in Huron Township, near Metro Airport, to Sweetest Heart of Mary Church in the Poletown area of Detroit. Uncle Ray was only 3 at the time, so he heard the story second hand. What an impression that made on my Aunt or Uncle for my Uncle Ray to think to tell me about it when he was in his 80's.

Gravesite Details

Gravesite was unmarked & Church records were damaged by flood. When records were moved to cemetery office it was destroyed by fire during Race Riots. Exact plot info is now lost & anyone in the family who was there & would remember is gone, too.
