Davie Rhodes Hawkins, 59, of Big Clifty, died Monday, April 14, 2008, at his residence.

A native of Hart County, he was an X-ray technician for pipeline construction. He was a decorated Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of White Mills Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Orlene White Hawkins; and two sisters, Ethelene Denissoff and Carolyn Ann Hawkins.

Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Litteral of Big Clifty and Neveia Chappell of Santa Rosa, Calif.; a brother, Robert Hawkins of Eastview; five sisters, Linda Faye Hawkins of Danville, Brenda Kay Shaw of Buffalo, Pamela D. Hawkins and Patty Hawkins, both of Elizabethtown, and Teresa Hawkins of Louisville; and two special beloved grandchildren, Shelby and Amber Litteral.

Pallbearers are Kenneth Ray Snow, Michael Joseph Schone, Michael Wayne Snow, James Michael Schone, William Shelby Litteral and Nathan Andrew Armoar.

Burial was in Eastview Baptist Church Cemetery.
