Mrs. Buhrmaster was born February 21, 1935, at Clarence, the daughter of James Carl and Maye O. Burnett Horton. She married Wilbur E. Buhrmaster May 26, 1955, at Covington, Ind. He preceded her in death May 10, 1994.
She is survived by four daughters and one son, Kathy (Randy) Haack of Paxton, Jane Buhrmaster of Gifford, Steve (Evelyn) Buhrmaster of Rankin, Sue (John) Bahney of Rantoul and Carrie (David) Adkisson of Philo; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray Horton of St. Charles; one sister, Pat Roach of Scarborough, Maine; a sister-in-law, Betty Kingren of Paxton; a special friend, Bill Owens of Paxton; and numerous other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Mary Ann graduated from Rankin High School in 1953 and attended Burnham School of Nursing in Champaign. She and her husband farmed in rural Paxton for a number of years, they moved to Bayles Lake in 1983, and she moved to Paxton in 1998. She had been employed as a secretary for John Deere and Eastern Illini Co-op of Paxton and Growers Service, Gibson City. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Paxton. She was an avid Cubs fan, she enjoyed having lunch with her friends and most of all, she loved being with her children and grandchildren.
