Chico Enterprise-Record, Wednesday, November 6, 68: "Elsie M. Allen. Oroville-Elsie Marie Allen, 59, of 405 Grand Ave., died Sunday in a local hospital.
Miss Allen, born in New York City, N.Y., on July 10, 1909, had lived in California 25 years and resided at the home of her employer, Mrs. Walter Edwards.
Surviving are three sisters, all of whom live in the east.
Funeral services are planned at 3 p.m. Thursday by the Christian Service Society, 1508 Locust St., Chico, with officiation [sic?, Ed.] by the Rev. Nathan J. McFarland.
Burial will follow in the Society Cemetery, Chico.
