Fanny Gunn, daughter of William Gunn and Emma (Bake) Gunn, was born in Stanstead, Mountfitchet, Essex, England.

After moving to the Utah Territory to join with others of the LDS Church, Fanny married Thomas Wilde, son of William Wilde and Eliza (Phillips) Wilde, 7 May 1865 in Coalville, Summit, Utah. They had 14 children.

Fanny died, the same day as their last child Mary who was then only 23 days old, in Coalville. Fanny was buried there with Mary 21 Aug 1890.
