Funeral Arranged For Rella C. Bailey

Funeral services will be held Wednesday for Rella Claud Bailey, 63, 2236 N. Waco, who died at St. Francis. Hospital Sunday.

Mr. Bailey was born Jan. 22, 1892, at Peck, Kan. He had resided in Wichita for 33 years, moving here from Maize, Kan. He was a janitor at the Kansas Gas & Electric Co., Ripley Plant He married Edith George Nov. 24, 1923, in Wichita.

Survivors include his wife, Edith, of the home address; two daughters, Mrs. Fred Hobson, 1245 Park Pl., and Mrs. Blanche Porter, Modesto, Calif.; and three brothers, Guy, Morgan City, La.; Alton, Moore, Okla., Charlie, 1111 W. 53rd, North. Five grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted in Byrd-Snodgrass Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Vernon M. Heffner of the Wellington Place Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.

There has been a question in regards to Rella's middle name. The middle name Claud is what was printed in his newspaper obituary and funeral card. According to his WWI registration card signed by him and living family historians, his middle name is "Cland".
