Bennie was born April 15, 1920, in Lott. She was co-owner and chef for over 20 years at Bowlanes Grill and Forest Park Lanes, both located in bowling alleys. She was known for serving the best lunch in town and no one left hungry. She and her husband were both sponsors of a women's bowling league.
Bennie was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors: Niece, Joyce Hamm and husband, Jerry; great-nieces, Sabrina Harris, Shawn Smith, Tracey Allred and Lori Hamm and husband, Johnnie; and great-nephew, Scott Allred and wife, Trina.
