Kim was my friend. We worked together for several years and I am so glad that I got to be part of her life. She graduated from Southwestern State University with a degree in Medical Records.

Kim had cancer when she was a child. She had a brain tumor and it was treated in Texas when she was about ten years old. When my grandson was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, she was his soul mate. She was someone who truly understood what he was going through. She was very supportive of him.

While we were working together, Kim began having health problems and eventually discovered that she again had cancer, this time it was in her spine. She initially responded to the treatment and I was so hopeful she would be okay. But after a short time, she began having problems again and passed away shortly after that.

I know Kim would have loved to get married and have children. She would have been a great mom. I am sure she has more than that now. She was a wonderful person. I am so glad that she was part of my life.

She liked lighthouses and hated bugs.

Kim has a sister who is 10 years younger than her and she was a second mother for her sister. She loved her family so much.

The picture of Kim is with my grandson.

A Message From Heaven

Perhaps you aren't ready yet
to have to say good-bye
Perhaps you've thought of things
you wish you'd said, well, so have I.
For one thing, I'd have told you
not to worry about me.
I'm with the Lord in Heaven now,
you knew that's where I'd be.
I'm sorry that you're feeling sad,
for I'm so happy now,
I've asked the Lord to ease the hurt
and comfort you somehow.
It's hard at the beginning,
but I know you'll make it through,
I hope it helps to know
that I'll be waiting here for you.
