Lloyd graduated from the Barnes Business College in Denver, Colorado. Lloyd unable to get in the service in WWII went to San Diego, California where he worked in an airplane factory for 2 years, returning home to work in the Post Office when many of the Postal employees were called to the service. On November 24, 1944 he went out to substitute for a rural carrier and lost his life in one of those blizzards that can come up so quickly on the plains.
