L.P. Jennings was a farmer. He immigrated to the United States in 1879. He married Tessie McDonagh in Iowa. They had three children. (John, Catherine, Edmund) After her death, he married Elsie Jane Morgan and they lived in the Vici area, moving to Union City in 1938. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

I don't know much about my grandfather. Moma completely adored him. She thought her Pop was great. She didn't really tell us many stories about him. She did say that he would work in the flower garden and the kids would work in the vegetable garden.

She also told me that he didn't like her voice. Considering how highly she regarded him, I knew I couldn't say anything negative about him feeling that way or I would be in trouble. She told me the story several times until I figured out to tell her simply that he was wrong. She did not respond to what I said, but she seemed to take in the information, finally nodded her head and she never repeated the story again. Hopefully, she was wrong about him not liking her voice and that was information she picked up simply because sometimes things can be said that we are sensitive about.

Married February 19, 1910 in Woodward Oklahoma by Judge T.L. O'Bryan.

Edward (Neddy) Jennings b: 1804 in Cully, Curry, Co. Sligo, Ireland d: December 18, 1885 in Aclane, Tobercurry, Co. Sligo, Ireland
