Mass of Christian Burial for Regina Hellesund, age 86, of Timber Lake will be Monday April 7, 2008 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Timber Lake. Burial will be at the Timber Lake Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.

Mrs. Hellesund passed away Thursday, April 03, 2008 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital

Regina was born on December 23, 1921 to Frank and Elizabeth (Goldade) Holzer in Hague, ND. During Regina's childhood her family moved to Timber Lake, SD. She attended Stoick country school. Following school she helped out at the family farm. During World War II she worked at the Naval Base in Farragut, ID. After the war she returned back to Timber Lake.

Regina married Allen Hellesund on March 31, 1948 in Timber Lake. Following their marriage they made their home in Timber Lake where they have since resided. Together they raised one daughter, Donna.

Regina enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing softball. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Allen of Timber Lake, one daughter, Donna Hurley of Aberdeen, one grandson, Eric Hurley of Aberdeen, two brothers, Joseph (Angeline) Holzer of Aberdeen and John Holzer of Timber Lake, two sisters, Anna (Francis) Reinbold of Mobridge and Marian (Kenneth) Bailey of The Dalles, OR.

She is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Adam Holzer, Anton Holzer, Mike Holzer, Steve Holzer, Frank Holzer Jr. and Johannas Holzer, and one sister baby girl Holzer.

Casketbears will be Robert Reinbold, Tony Reinbold, Wayne Holzer, Jim Holzer, Gene Reinbold, Larry Hieb.
