Robert D. Fisher, 82, of LaGrange, IN died Sunday February 17, 2008 at his residence.
Living his lifetime in Springfield Township, LaGrange County he was a lifetime farmer and retired after 32 years from Sealed Power Corporation in LaGrange.
Mr. Fisher was born on February 23, 1925 in Springfield Township, LaGrange County to Ralph A. and Wava L. (Sherman) Fisher; they both precede him in death. On October 3, 1950 he was married to Beverly June Biddle in Kendallville, IN; Mrs. Fisher survives.
Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law Marie E. and Dennis James of Oxford, NJ, a son and daughter-in-law Michael and Ida Fisher of Fort Wayne, IN, five grandchildren Kreg Fisher of Spring Valley, MN, Jeanne DeVinney of Fort Wayne, Spencer James of Indianapolis, IN, Travis James of Mt. Arlington, NJ, and Brian James of Oxford, NJ, three great-grandchildren Jordyn and Jaxson DeVinney, and Caleb Fisher. Also preceding him in death was a sister Evelyn M. Appleman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 20, 2008 from 3-7 pm at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange, IN. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at East Springfield Cemetery in LaGrange.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the American Heart Association.
