Pleasant Grove – Samuel Moroni Wilcox, 93, died Jan. 11, 1983, in a Pleasant Grove rest home.
Born Feb. 24, 1889, Sunny Dell, Idaho, to Boyd Extine and Mary s. Dayton Wilcox. A lifelong resident of Cedar Fort, Utah. Farmer, inventor. Operated a brick making operation. Employed at Deseret Chemical Co. during World War II. High priest, Cedar Fort LDS Ward, and served in various church positions all his life.
He never married, and is survived by a sister, Helen (Dot) Sparks, Montpelier, Idaho; nieces and nephews in Oregon and Idaho, and one nephew, Wayne Wilcox, Brigham city; preceded in death by on sister and five brothers.
Funeral services Saturday, 2 p.m., Cedar Fort LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Wing Mortuary, Lehi, Friday, 7-9 p.m. at the chapel Saturday prior to services. Burial, Cedar Fort Cemetery.
