Thomas Warn Andrews was born Mar 17, 1880, in Franklin County, Georgia. He was the fourth child and the third son of four children born to Pleasant Mack Andrews (1850 – 1921) and Martha Jane Mize (1853 – 1880).

In the 1880 census the 3 month old Thomas W Andrews lived with his family on a farm in Enumeration District 29 of the Flintsville District 211, Franklin County, Georgia. The farm was listed as Dwelling #176 and Family #179. The household consisted of 30 year old Pleasant M Andrews as Head, his 27 year old Martha J, 8 year old son James J, 6 year old son Willie C, 2 year old daughter Lourila, and 3 month old son Tho W. James J had attended school within the census year. All members of the household were born in Georgia.

In 1900 Thos W Andrews was living on a farm in Enumeration District 28 in 264th District of Carnesville, in Franklin County, Georgia. The household consisted of 30 year old Thomas Andrews as Head, his 31 year old wife Nancy, two sons - 2 year old Clyde and 1 year old Ralph. 19 year old Hired Laborer James P Blalock also lived in the with them. Nancy Andrews was noted to be the mother of two children with two living at the time of the census. All household members were born in Georgia.
