Natalie (Pettit) Moore, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005 at Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. She was born in Shanghai, China during World War II and was the daughter of Bill 'Pappy' and Raisa Pettit. She graduated from Barstow High School in 1961 and for the last 10 years worked as Baker II at Ironwood Prison in California. She loved cooking, dancing, and family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Raisa Pettit, and step-brother, Hughie Parker. Natalie is survived by her loving husband, Robert Moore of Cibola, Ariz.; son, Dan Chapman and his wife Valerie of Madrid, Iowa; daughter, Kalissa (Briner) Maki and her husband Glen of Wofford Heights; grandchildren, Justin, Ernie, Davin, and Lorin; step-mother, Marie Pettit; step-brothers, Bill Parker, David Parker, and Bob Parker. Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 10, 2005 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Mead Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Road. In lieu of flowers the family asks that those wishing to do so, send a contribution to their favorite charity. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005 at 11 a.m. also at Mead Mortuary. Interment will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park.
