Joyce Coffee 88 of Independence, Missouri passed away on April 1, 2008. Services will be at Mt. Washington Forever Mausoleum Chapel 614 S. Brookside Ave Independence, MO. Visitation will be Sunday April 6th from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Funeral service will be Monday April 7th at 10:00 a.m. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Messages of condolences may be left at www.forevercemeteries.com. Joyce was born on June 17, 1919 in the Fairmount area of Independence to Bennie and Setta (Harmon) Williams. She retired from Independence Regional (Sanitarium) after 32 years of service. She also served as a volunteer at Powell Gardens. Joyce was active with the "Keen Agers" at Sheffield Assembly Church and was a member of Full Gospel Assembly Church in Independence. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alex Coffee and a sister Bonnie Zans. Among her survivors are 3 daughters; Avis Watkins of Gardner, KS, Gloria Carpenter and Sharyn Vanderpool both of Warsaw, MO. and her son, George G. Faulkner of Independence. MO. 2 brothers, David Williams of Atlanta, GA and Milo Williams of Kansas City, MO. Joyce is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Mt.
