Mrs. Crowell died Feb. 7, 2002 in Kaufman.
She was born March 15, 1921 in Hopkins County to the late Edgar Houston and Cora Levie Johnson Hoover. She grew up in Sulphur Springs and lived her adult life in Athens, where she attended Athens United Pentecostal Church. She retired from Hollywood Vassarette in Athens. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Crowell; son, Lonnie Edgar Hosch, sister Rosa Bell Woodard and brothers, Oliver and Joe Hoover.
Survivors include sons, Billy Ray Hosch, Kemp and Charles Glenn Hosch of Irving; daughter, Norma Jean Anderson, Dallas, Melva Dean Grissom, Tyler, Carolyn Ann Stauss, Fair Oak Ranch, and Marie Beadles, Bethany, Okla; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
