Her mother's name was Missy and she belonged to my maternal grandmother, Pauline Hope Comstock Crowder. When Missy became, "with puppies," my grandma gave the dog, which was a pure white Alaskian Husky to us. We gave all her puppies away, having lived by a KOA campground at the time... except for one little black and white dog that when she walked she resembled a little skunk... hence, the name Skunky.
Skunky was the most loyal of dogs. When you would be upset, and pre-teen girls do that a lot, she would sit by you for hours. Skunky had a set of puppies, one of which we kept: Bounce.
