"...Theodore likely followed several trails west, accompanying Boone uncles and older brothers. His travels likely included the Oregon and California Trails and up into Oregon and Washington and into Idaho. He married Martha Alice Thompson in Brownsville, Linn County, Oregon when he was 24. The young couple quickly moved to and homesteaded in the Canyon County area of Idaho Territory.

Theodore was a "stockman" (rancher) and prospected for gold in Alaska and mined for silver in the Owyhee County area of Idaho. He was also a partner in a ferry company on the Snake river.

He and Martha Alice had eleven children, all born in Canyon County, Idaho. He was living with his daughter, Gertrude Boone Beatty, and her family when he died in Tulare County, CA at the age of 73."
