Rosa was the daughter of Peter Reddick Cannon and Mary Pinner


Levi Joshua Arnold, age 78 years, pioneer resident of the county and for more than half a century a resident of the Peniel section, died at his home early last Friday morning, following an extended period of poor health.
The deceased was born in Valdosta, Ga., but came to Putnam County in early manhood and here he had ever since resided. He was a faithful member of the Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Mr. Rosa Lee arnold; one daughter, Mrs. Hugh Black of Peniel; two sons, G. L. Arnold of Jacksonville, and C. R. Arnold of Leesburg; one sister, Mrs. Stella Kenneth of Valdosta, and one brother, W. F. Arnold of Valdosta.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Peniel Baptist Church, with Rev. Cecil Underwood officiating. Interment was in the family section in the Peniel Cemetery, under Masonic direction. (Palatka Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 14 Jul 1939.)
