Leland H. Adams, 66, of Palestine, Texas died June 5, 1973, in a Palestine hospital following an apparent heart attack. Burial was in (New Addition Annex of) Palestine City Cemetery. He was a native of Palestine, attended the University of Texas and at one time owned Adam's Music Store in Palestine. He was a member of First Baptist Church and had entertained in Fort Worth 20 years under the stage name of "Freshman" Adams. Survivors include sons, William Lee Adams of Dallas and Jim Adams of Fort Worth; brother, Willis Adams of Palestine; and sister, Mrs. Leah Mae Carter of Palestine.
