Deloras V. Burrows

Deloras V. Burrows, 81, of Luther Manor, formerly of 850 Nevada, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, at Luther Manor.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Nativity Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where there will be a wake service at 3 p.m.

She was born on July 7, 1921, in Dubuque, daughter of Peter and Veda (Young) Kersch. She married Clyde Burrows Sr. on Nov. 9, 1940, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church; he died on Jan. 22, 1990.

She graduated from the former Immaculate Conception Academy. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Precious Moments Club and enjoyed bowling and bingo.

Surviving are her children, Clyde (Carol) Burrows, of Phoenix, Ariz., Judy (Ed) Rollinger, of Rochelle, Ill., Bonnie (Terry) Maas, Linda (Jack) Plowman and Tammy (Ken) Plowman, all of Dubuque, and Dan (Kathy) Burrows, of Galena, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Pat (Mark) Anglin; two brothers-in-law, John Trybus and Don (Joyce) Burrows; and four sisters-in-law, Lenice (Pepper) Kingsley, Hazel Rennison, Lucille Manders and Jenny (Bob) Timmerman.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Timmy Burrows; and two sisters, Irene Kersch and Betty Trybus.

A Deloras Burrows Memorial Fund has been established.

The family would like to send a special thank-you to the staff and residents at Luther Manor for the kindness expressed to our mother.
