Samuel was husband to Nancy Peck, who was a daughter of Amos and Mary Wagman Peck. Nancy Peck Bard had many sisters and two brothers. Sam's brother-in-laws were: Henry Wagman Peck, Amos Peck, Simon Clark, Horace Buel, Nathan Godard, Hiram Haight and his sister-in-law Mary Peck lived in Richfield Springs in 1863. Samuel's mother was Abigail Peck(also in this cemetery)was the daughter of John Peck and Sarah Adams. They lived in the Greenwich CT. area and are thought to be a different line of Pecks. He had a least one brother. Robert C. Bard, who lived and died in Franklinville, NY.
