I've no idea which is the correct spelling for this name as I've seen it with an O & a U. Census records are so botched so they don't help at all but I think the majority of other records spell it as Broncheon.
His parents were August and Mary Bronshu (Broncheon) both born in Germany abt. 1803.
At some point the family may have changed their name or the enumerator of that particular census tried to spell it phonetically.
