Rowland arrived in Vietnam and was assigned to Alpha Company,1st Amtrac Battalion, 3rd Marine Division. He died as a result of a gunshot wound to the body while engaged against hostile forces, at An Cuong (2), Namyen and Hill 30, while participating in Operation Starlight.
Survived by his wife; Helen R Adamoli and his parents; Carl A and Susan M Adamoli all of Philadelphia, PA.
