Graveside services for Mary Lucile Beaty, 94, of Waco will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Ropesville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home. Mrs. Beaty died March 24, 2008 in Waco.

She was born in Meridian to the late A.H. "Buddy" and Pearl Wilson Turner. She moved to Idalou at an early age where she graduated from high school. She attended Texas Tech for one year. Mary Lou moved to Levelland in 1934 where she met and married Willie Lowell Beaty on June 9, 1935. He preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 2005. She moved to Ropesville in March of 1938 to what was known as the Ropesville project. They lived from 1956 until 1960 in Wilcox, Ariz. when they then moved to Brownfield. They retired to Wolfforth until 2001 when they moved to Waco to join their daughter and son-in-law. Mary and Lowell operated a grain elevator until retirement. Lowell and Mary Traveled extensively in their travel trailer and for many years and were members of the Wally Bynum Airstream for 22 years and often recalled these years as the "best years of their lives." She was a life long member of the Methodist Church.

A daughter, Vickie Lyn, one sister, and three brothers preceded Mary in death.
