Gerald L. Woodmansee, age 77, passed away with family by his side Easter morning, March 23, 2008 at his home in the Rose Park area of Salt Lake City, Utah due to complications surrounding Parkinson's Disease.
Gerald was born June 27, 1930, in Salt Lake City to Benjamin Louis and Annie Bertha Eugster Woodmansee. He married his beautiful wife, Joyce Littlewood, Sept. 28, 1962, in the Logan LDS Temple. Jerry was an invaluable son and brother. He is an alumnus of South High School. He was called to serve an LDS mission in the New England States, Boston, MA. area. While becoming a husband and father he concurrently received a bachelor's degree from the U of U and furthered his education there by obtaining a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. This knowledge aided many young people during his time with the Salt Lake City public schools. As an active and physically fit man he regularly visited the Deseret Gym where he also gained recognition as a state handball champion. Boy could he jump rope. Jerry's sense of humor was keen and the accompanying smile was contagious. He was an altruistic person who diligently served his fellowman. Jerry enjoyed spiffing up struggling neighbors yards and accomplished great things while serving 10 years as a Utah State Legislator for the Rose Park area. His many passions included: journal writing, hiking, reading, family road trips, yard work, rocks, music, and The Land, just to name a few.
He is survived by: daughters: Pamela Woodmansee, Cynthia (Mike) Read, Shelly (Craig) Turner; son: Wade (Carina) Woodmansee, and 11 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife and parents. Thank you for being a top notch dad. We'll not soon forget the days you threw on a record and taught us all of your moves. You're finally relieved of the frustrating battle with the limitations of your physical body. Have fun hiking with mom and do a little twist for us. The family would like to acknowledge all who have touched our lives over these trying months. Much of our appreciation goes to the staff of Lifepath Hospice.

Redwood Rd., Taylorsville on Fri. from 6-8 p.m. and also at the Stake Center on Sat. two hours prior to the Services.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
