Thaddeus G. Alwyn, 75, of Baldwinsville, passed away Saturday at University Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, he lived in the Syracuse area for 30 years. He received his B.A. degree in history from Colby College. A U.S. Army veteran, he served with the 11th Airborne Division. He was a fleet accounts manager for Chrysler Corp., retiring in 1992. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed playing tennis and following the NY Yankees. He was a longtime camper and counselor at Camp Timanous in Maine. Surviving are two daughters, Janet (Jerry DiMeis Jr.) Whidden of Camillus and Holly (Ted) Werner of CA; one son, Pete (Patricia) Alwyn of Baldwinsville; four grandchildren, Emily, Jake, Tricia and Pete Jr.; and his wife, Marilyn. Memorial services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Wednesday in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Al Furniss Fund/Camp Timanous, 25 Marlboro Rd., Southborough, MA 01772.
