Marguerite Slocum Bates was born October 30, 1919 in rural El Paso County, Colorado. She passed away on June 19, 2007 in Delta, CO. She was preceded in death by husbands Roy W. Slocum and John C. Bates, her parents, a sister, two brothers and two grandsons. She is survived by two daughters; Evelyn Hayse of Naples, FL and Roberta Wilt of South Pittsburg, TN, a son Kenneth Slocum of Delta, CO, a sister Mildred Myers of Enid, OK, a brother Robert Clutter of Anthony, KS ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held June 25, 2007 at 11:00A.M. at Mesa View Mortuary Chapel, Delta, CO. Burial will take place in the Peyton Cemetery, Peyton, CO.
