Hiedi Michelle Gilson was born July 22, 1981 at Clarinda, Iowa, the daughter of Dale O. and Marles J. (Walter) Gilson. Hiedi passed away March 3, 2008 at her residence in Killeen, Texas, from Diabetes . Hiedi was 26 years of age.
Hiedi attended Clarinda schools and graduated from Ridgecrest High School, Ridgecrest, California. She attended Ridgecrest Community College, EMT class, and had aspired to work on a fire department. She had lived in Virginia and worked as a nurse's aid and security guard.
Hiedi was predeceased by her father, Dale in 1989; grandparents, Martin and Jessie Walter and Orrie and Mary Gilson.
She is survived by her mother, Marles of Maryville, Missouri; sister Dee Miller and her husband Frank of Maryville, Missouri, brothers Mike Gilson and his wife Dawn of Maquoketa, Iowa, David Gilson and his wife Cindy of Oxford Junction, Iowa, Danny Gilson of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Eric Gilson, Omaha, Nebraska; nieces and nephews in particular Kristina, Madison and Anthony Miller of Maryville; cousins; and many friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 7, 2008 at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home with Pastor J D Dirks of Maryville officiating. Interment was at Clarinda Cemetery. Memorials are suggested in her name.
