We spent the first 10 years of our marriage on the Lawrence Mueller farm, 5 miles north and 2 ? miles west of the Baptist Church in Hooker. In the spring of 1966 we purchased a farm 4 ? miles east of Keyes, Oklahoma. We moved there in August of 1966 and began farming and ranching. Clara lost a battle with cancer in April 1992, but I continued to farm and ranch there until I retired in 1997. I loved Cimarron County and farming.

I married Elese Stevens February 21, 1998. We lived on her farm until April of 1999 when we purchased a home in Guymon, Oklahoma and moved there. We had 10 wonderful years together.
