ALBERT WILLE

In the last "Waldbote" (local paper) we announced the death of a famous farmer and friend of the Waldbote, Albert Wille near Chelsea. We are not being able to say anymore about his life at this time. The letter which contained this information was brought in time to the Chelsea Post Office to be in our possession on Friday afternoon. The letter was accidentally taken by train to Abbotsford and came back on Saturday, after the Waldbote was printed.

Mr. Albert Wille died on January 9th, 1910, at the age of 72 years, 1 month, and 5 days.

He was born in Germany on December 4th, 1837. He married the surviving widow on June 6th, 1866. The had three children which are still alive. His daughter Helene Kessel is married and lives in Washington County. One son, Otto, lives is Port Washington, Wisc. and one son Gustav, lives on the family farm in Chelsea.

The deceased emigrated from Germany to America in the year 1887 and lived first in Ozaukee County. He moved to Chelsea, Taylor County, Wisc. in 1893. There he bought a farm and lived there until his death.

The funeral was on January 12th, at one o'clock in the afternoon from the funeral home, L.H. Latton in Medford. The Rev. P. Heschke from Whittlesen conducted a comforting sermon at the Ev. Luth. Dreieinigkeits Church in Chelsea. After the sermon the funeral march went accompanied by the mourners and ringing of the bells to the cemetery where the body was put to rest.

He may rest in peace.

The Waldbote offers condolences to all he left behind.
