Mary M. Fullmer

BLACKFOOT--Mary Magdalene Pfost Fullmer, 76, Rt. 3, Blackfoot, died Saturday in Sacred Heart Community Hospital at Idaho Falls following a short illness.

She was born Sept. 1, 1897 at Rexburg, daughter of Frederick and Christian Walz Pfost, was educated at Ricks Academy and Albion Normal School, and was a certified teacher.

On Jan. 25, 1917, she married Horace E. Fullmer in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They settled originally in Rexburg, where he was a teacher, moving to Blackfoot in January of 1930 where they were involved in farming and raising livestock until Mr. Fullmer's death in 1965.

She was active in civic organizations, including Lady Wool Growers, Association of Retired Teachers, and the Ricks College Alumni Assn. She was a member of the LDS Church and served the church in several capacities. She was a visiting teacher at the time of her death.

She loved the outdoors and helped her husband in his business endeavors.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Edna) Hinman, Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Bud (Donna) Shindurling, Idaho Falls, Mrs. Lloyd (Ruby) Christensen, Blackfoot, and Mrs. Larry (Jesse) Faupell, Scottsdale, Ariz.; son Robert W. Fullmer, Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Mrs. Cecil E. (Vera) Hart, Idaho Falls, Mrs. Clarence (Florence) Birch and Melba Pfost, both of Rexburg; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, a brother, and a son who died in infancy.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Blackfoot 8th LDS Ward with Bishop Dale Arave officiating. Friends may call today from 7-9 p.m. at the Howard-Packham Mortuary Chapel.

Burial will be in Groveland Cemetery.
