Neodesha - Carl W. Hinrichs, 85, of Cherryvale, a former resident of Neodesha, died Wednesday evening at the Mercy Hospital emergency room in Independence, KS.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home of Neodesha. April 25, 1989.
Mr. Hinrichs was born Mar 21, 1904, at Winfield, Kansas, the son of John F. and Anna M. (Gessler) Hinrichs.
On July 28, 192 at Sedan, Kansas he married Ethel Maeona Powell. She died in 1976.
Mr. Hinrichs was a resident of Neodesha before moving to the Cherryvale area in 1949. He was a retired section hand for the Frisco Railroad, working there from 1942 to 1969. He also farmed.
Survivors include one son, John Hinrichs of Independence; four daughters, Mrs. Orville (Delores) Fouch and Mrs. Lewis (Darlene) Dillow both of Chanute, Mrs. James (Violet) Ham of Bartlesville, Okla; and Mrs. James (Sheila) Evans of Copan, Okla; two brothers, John Hinrichs and Frank Hinrichs of Neodesha, and one sister, Nellie Hinrichs of Neodesha, Kansas.
Five grandchildren, one great grandchild, three step-grandchildren, and four step-great grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his wife one daughter and one sister are deceased.
