Funeral services for David Christopher Gandy, 33, of Pearland will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2004, at the First Baptist Church in Levelland with Dr. Steve Vernon, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sundown Cemetery in Sundown, Texas under the direction of Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors of Levelland. He died at 5:34 a.m. Sunday, April 11, 2004, at Southeast Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

David was born Oct. 2, 1970 in Lubbock. He moved to Pearland in 2001 from Lubbock. He married Ann Marie Trull July 4, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nev. A 1988 graduate of Coronado High School, he attended New Mexico Junior College and graduated from Texas Tech University. He worked for the Houston Oilers. He received his PhD in neurophysiology from Columbia University. He worked as an athletic trainer for Levelland Schools, South Plains College, and was presently employed by the Pearland School system. He was an orthopedic physicians assistant, a licensed and certified athletic trainer, and a licensed pilot. He served on the legislative board for Orthopedic Physicians Assistants. He was a Baptist.
