Ethel E. Blake, 102, of 1555 N. Main St., died at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Wesley Manor.

She was born Jan. 29, 1906, in Anderson, and was the daughter of the late Rev. L.O. and Flora Rafferty Blake. She graduated from Butler University and received her master's degree from Indiana State University.

A retired schoolteacher, she taught for four years in Columbus, Ind., and 36 years in Crawfordsville.

Miss Blake was a member of Christ's United Methodist Church in Crawfordsville and B E Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and a charter member of the Iota Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Honorary Teachers Society and Indiana Retired Teacher's Association.
