Roy Edward Kronberg was the seventh child of Christian (Chris) Kronberg and Betty Ann Smith. There were eleven children in all, raised on the Kronberg homestead about five miles west of Scottsbluff.

Roy married Hazel Belle Parmenter on August 3, 1925. They lived on several farms north and west of Scottsbluff.

In 1954 Roy was one of the High Ten Sugar Beet Growers in the Scottsbluff area. The Great Western Sugar Company recognized this and the fact that he produced the highest tonnage per acre at the Heldt station. This was also the 50th Anniversary of Great Western Sugar Company.

Roy passed away following a heart attack. He was mounting a mower on a tractor when the attack occurred. Following the funeral, neighbors and friends put up the hay.
