Mary lived in her father's home keeping house until she was 29. She married John Calib Green on April 14, 1887. They lived the first few years of marriage in Pike County later moving to Gibson County where they remained. Mary and John enjoyed a long and happy marriage that lasted for 37 years. From that marriage was born 2 sons and 4 daughters. Mary passed away in Francisco, Indiana at the home of her daughter, Cumi Hedges, on March 20, 1938.
She is loved and missed by all.
Funural services were held at the Forsythe Church. Mary was laid to rest, beside her husband John, in the Forsythe Cemetery. This cemetery is located between Oakland City and Francisco, Indiana on the same road as Texas Eastern.
