Elvia L. (Miss Elvia) Lipsmeyer, 89, of Conway, AR., passed away Friday, March 7, 2008 at Conway Regional Medical Center.

Miss Elvia was a retired teacher having taught 33 years at East End (Bigelow) Elementary school. The new preschool kindergarten annex was dedicated in her name in 2005.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and former students.

She was born October 26, 1918 in Pleasant Valley, Perry County, to the late William Columbus Wilhite and Lillie Ethel Rorie Flack Wilhite.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John J. Lipsmeyer; brother, Clyde Flack; sisters, Rozella Sielke and Nellie McCauley; brother, John E. Wilhite.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Christian Ladies, Faulkner County Retired Teachers Association, and Arkansas Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Shirley Lipsmeyer and Paul and Donna Lipsmeyer, all of Conway; three grand-children, Lesley and her husband Ancil Lea III, Allen Lipsmeyer and wife Stephanie, Dr. Christopher P. Lipsmeyer and wife Dr. Petra Lipsmeyer; eight great grandchildren, Kelsey, Allison, Ancil IV, Kendra Grace, and Amber Lea, Kyle and Candice Lawton, Sidney Anna Lipsmeyer; her sister-in-law, Amelia Wilhite.

Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in St. Boniface Cemetery, New Dixie. Rosary was at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Christian Ladies Rosary was at the funeral home.
