Alexander, son of Mrs. Mae Belle Alexander, Long Beach, Miss., has enlisted in the Regular Army for 18 months while serviving with the 242nd Infantry Regiment, 42nd "Rainbow" Division in Bruck, Austria, effective November 10, 1945. His organization is part of General Mark W. Clark's United States Forces in Austria.

Donald Ellis Alexander, 51, a resident of 4113 16th St., Gulfport, died Monday at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport.
Alexander, a self-employed mechanic, was born May 3, 1926, in Long Beach. He was member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Long Beach. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillie Alexander of Gulfport; two sons, Donald E. Alexander Jr. of Gulfport and Melvin Alexander of Baton Rouge, LA.; one daughter, Miss Louise Alexander of Columbia, Miss.; one brother, Maurice Alexander of Brownsville, TX; one sister, Mrs. Thelma Alexander of Long Beach and two grandchildren. Friends may all at the Riemann Funeral Home Chapel in Long Beach from 6:30 to 11:00 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday from the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. James Beech, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Allen Cemetery in Long Beach.
