Below as printed in the May 16, 1936, edition of The Guardian, Arkansas' premiere Catholic newspaper, there was a short paragraph in honor of my grandfather, Casper Lensing. It reads:

Mr. Casper Lensing

By the death of Mr. Casper Lensing St. Ignatius Parish of Scranton, Ark, has lost a staunch suporter [sic] and loyal member. Mr. Lensing was a faithful husband, kind Father and true friend. The bereaved family and his many friends will always keep him dear in memory, and though he be no longer with them the impressions left by his noble life will still live on.

May we profit by his example of a true Christian life.
