He was approximately 75 years old at death.

The Reverend Moses Sanders was a well-known Baptist preacher (and planter) in the last decades of the eighteenth century who was instrumental in founding several Baptist churches in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, including Grove Level Baptist Church in Franklin (now Banks) County, Georgia. There is no proof that he was (and probably was NOT)born in England. It is also doubtful that he served in the Continental Army. His probable parents are Francis Sanders(Birth Bet.1715–1722 in Stafford County, Virginia
Death Abt 1760 in Fairfax or Loudoun County, Virginia probably) and Sarah Unknown(Birth Abt 1715 in Virginia (probably)Death Aft. 1765 in Fairfax or Loudoun County, Virginia (probably)
Francis' parents where Lewis Henry Sanders(Birth Bet. 1680–1695 in Scotland Death Abt 1761 in Fairfax County, Virginia and Nellie (Eleanor?) Daniel(Birth Abt 1695 in Scotland or Virginia. Death Aft. 1770 in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Actual grave site is off Hembree(dirt)Road below Grove Level Baptist Church. You would need to contact Mr.Clyde Rucker before going. It is on private property and he is very cautious now about letting people go on the land.

It is believed Moses moved to Anson County from either Loudoun County or Brunswick County VA shortly after his marriage to Mary Hamilton. He and his family, brothers or cousins, began accumulating property almost immediately circa 1771/2. When Montgomery was formed in 1779 some of his properties fell into the newly formed County of Montgomery.
