One by one the old soldiers that wore the Gray are "passing over the river to rest under the shade of the trees," and their ranks on this side are indeed growing thin. This morning at his home in New Hope township, Mr. J. T. Adams, of the 61st N. C. regiment, "tell on sleep," aged 77 years. He is survived by his devoted, but invalid wife, and his son, our good friend, Mr.
M. L. Adams, and one daughter. The funeral will be held and the interment made at the home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
