Imogene attended grade school at Red Mound and Pikes Peak and later she attended Chilocco Indian School in Chilocco, Oklahoma, where she learned the art of the Native Dance.
Imogene was a lifetime member of Hitchitee United Methodist Church, where she has served as Sunday school teacher, worked with the children's choir, she taught Native song and served in many different offices of the Church. She loved being in service for the Lord and was always there when she was needed.
Survivors include three sons and seven daughters, Percy Harjo and his wife Julie of Antlers, Oklahoma, Bruce Harjo and his wife Gail of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Nathaniel Harjo and his wife Jacqueline of Seminole, Oklahoma, Mildred Harjo of Seminole, Oklahoma, Lula Harjo of Seminole, Oklahoma, Delores Harjo of Seminole, Oklahoma, Sandra Larney of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Samantha and her husband Byron English of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Channon and her husband Sam Spencer of Seminole, Oklahoma and Mary and her husband Rev. Abraham Jackson of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Other survivors include three sisters, Bessie Spencer of Prague, Oklahoma, Juanita Wise of Seminole, Oklahoma and Ida Mae Little of Seminole, Oklahoma. Also surviving are 32 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and dear friends who she loved very much.
Imogene is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Buddy Little and Alice Miller Little, her husband Samsochee Harjo, two sisters Lula Little and Clara Davis. Three brothers also preceded her in death Osceola Little, Mitchell Little and Terry Little and two grandsons

Wake service will be held Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. February 29, 2008 at Hitchitee United Methodist Church.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Hitchitee United Methodist Church, Northeast of Seminole with Rev. Mike Svitak officiating and Rev. Mike Harjo assisting. Interment will follow at the Hitchitee Church Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Ellis Little, Jason Little, Osceola Little, Steve Harjo, Howard Harjo and Steve Barnett. Honorary bearers will be Tecumseh Underwood, Bryan Harjo, Shane Harjo, Victor Underwood, Ted Underwood and all of Imogene's grandsons.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
