Peter J. Beisel died at 8:30 Wednesday night at his home in Mulberry, after a long illness. Ninety years old, he had spent most of his life in Clinton county, and had lived in Mulberry since his retirement from active farming in 1922.

He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical and Reformed church and had been active in church affairs for many years. At the time of his death he was an elder emeritus of the church.

Mr. Beisel was born in this county December 10, 1859, a son of Solomon and Angelina Baer Beisel. On March 4, 1884, he was married to Clara Troxel, who died January 15, 1927. On October 19, 1929, he was married to Lulu Smith, who survives.

Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Noah Gangwer of near Mattix Corner, and Mrs. Dan Mohler of near Hamilton; three sons, Marvin Beisel of Indianapolis, Nevin Beisel of West Lafayette and Clarence Beisel of Frankfort route 7, and three sisters, Mrs. Selby Lewis and Mrs. Rosa Shaw of Frankfort route 7, and Mrs. Bert Strange of Summit City, Mich.

Also, one step-daughter, Mrs. Gladys Wommack of West Lafayette, two step-sons, C. W. Brigham of Manhattan, Kan., and Paul Brigham of Henderson, N. C.; 12 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

He had been a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge of Mulberry for over fifty years.

The funeral service will be held at the Trinity Evangelical and Reformed church at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, with the Rev. C. J. Olm officiating. The body will lie in state for one hour preceding the service at the church. Friends may call at the Kleinsmith funeral home in the meantime. Burial will be at St. Luke.
