LAPEL — Paul David Fort, 52, Lapel, passed away Feb. 25, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a brief illness.
He was born Oct. 7, 1955, in Noblesville, the son of Paul and Patsy (Helterbrand) Fort and lived in Lapel his entire life.
Paul was a 1973 Lapel High School graduate and received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from IUPUI.
He was an instructor at Lincoln College of Technology in Indianapolis and had been formerly employed by Schneider National Trucking.
Paul is survived by his parents, Paul and Patsy Fort of Lapel; one brother, John (wife, Sharon) Fort of Anderson; two nieces, Sarah and Melissa Fort; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Main St., Lapel, with the Rev. Bill Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon International.
